Luci Phurr’s Imps “Cookies & the Call Center” #4

This strip employs the Wilhelm Scream in final panel.

For those who don’t know, here’s what wiki says about that sound effect…

The Wilhelm Scream is a frequently-used film and television stock sound effect first used in 1951 for the film Distant Drums.  The effect gained new popularity (its use often becoming an in-joke) after it was used in Star Wars and many other blockbuster films as well as television programs and video games.

aw rats! i’ve caught up already? this is an outrage, an outrage i say! i’m raging out!! …ahem…make more soon please. *angelic smile*

We’ll do our best to add more real soon. In the short term, I believe a severe blow to the head can often take out one’s short term memory, thus allowing you rediscover the strips all over again.

This might be a little extreme, and our legal department insists that I make it very clear I’m not advising anyone to beat themselves into unconsciousness just to have a few laughs.

Assuming you can get in and see this, we are aware of the problem with the site, have amassed angry villagers with pitchforks and other sundry archaic farm tools and are preparing to storm the host company’s building. I believe some Tech-Johnny is also trying some 21st century-type solution as well. I guess if you work with Imps, you have to expect the odd glitch.

Aaah…. There was many a time i heard that scream from my father when he got the cell phone bill when I was a teen. >:3

Imps, Gremlins… the little buggers get in everything don’t they?

    >.> That reminds me, I’m going to go watch Gremlins now xD

Just remember, don’t eat them after midnight and then avoid swimming for at least two hours.

Or is that something else? 😀

It occurs to me that I may have been thinking of a cheese sandwich above. But even if I was, you should never accept one from a mysterious ancient Asian in a back-street curio store.

  8. Tegger the ORWA Tank Engine

I dunno…ive gotten some really cool stuff from ancient asians and there secrets…like soap…and PS3’s…or was it just soap? aw well like it matters, my cloths have never smelled so FRESH! sure theres the creepy screaming from my washing machine, but i think that may be the gerbil i lost 2 years ago…

  9. dale_mettam

Hope it’s the gerbil, because you can’t get the wrinkles out of aged relatives by a quick run through the tumble drier. Trust me.

Oh how we laughed later… in the E.R.

Phone bills, truly another evil invention straight from hell 😈

Ya’ know, I thought Misfortune would be smiling in this strip.
