The plot thickens… though admittedly we have a ways to go yet before we reach a comparable density to that of Pain’s head.
*grins* I love where this is going…^^
The plot does thicken! As does the yeast in the bread I put in the oven two hours ago.
*sniff sniff* Uh-oh…..
Mmmmmmmmmmmm. Fresh Bread.
Two hours? Lucy – you got some s’plainin to do! *watches smoke billow out from Dan’s kitchen*
When they say they can see Pain’s true form, is that we have been seeing or is it some more frightening and demonic form not yet witness by us as viewers?
@nero my guess is the form we readers have seen….
I love Pain’s somewhat confused expression. And I bet by the time this is done, there will be a joke.
“So, an imp, an old lady, and a hobo biker walk into a bar…”
So, is this the part where we realize that though Pain is dense he is not deaf, and can hear them in the final panel?
Awesome!!!! But why can’t pain see them as Angel if they’re in Junker bodies?
Seems a bit fishy to me, haha maybe pain and the biker are planning something against Kevin!
What could possibly go wrong?
@Nero Angelus – I forget if it was when the Imps hit Wall Street or school to deal with the bully, but we had some similar comments. Basically, the idea is that as humans age, they just see what they expect to see, and no one expects to demons and imps walking around, so what they see is short ugly people who like to dress predominantly in one color. Children have much bigger imaginations and a willingness to believe (which is why the Imps wore cunning disguises when they went to school).
@keylaleigh – So, an imp, an old lady, and a hobo biker walk into a bar… and the Old Lady and the Hobo Biker say “OUCH!” …’cos the Imp was Pain …and it was an iron bar.
@NuclearScientist – In the time honored tradition of comics, the Angels’ have a dotted line around their voice balloons indicating they are whispering… and it’s a noisy bar… and CLEARLY Pain has his beer buzz on already – look at that expression.
The mugs are freakin’ me out man…
Bahahaha, the bonus comic is great! But aw, poor cat…
Trying to get blood from a turnip is exactly what they’re doing. It has to be something stupid enough to fall for that…but bright enough to know -something-
I dunno Pain looks sorta angry.. or complacent there, I am not sure..
Also, poor kitty.. I wonder if Alisdair’s recipe was tasty or not.. I sorta imagine him in the kitchen would end up like Lucy.. or it seems, Dan >.>;
Also it is WAY cool to see Tears all WROAAAR gung-ho and stuff 😀
Oh, hobo biker angel, wings were *so* 2,000 years ago.
@Kiriel: Angry Tears is way more badass than the usual sad Tears.
That’s a good one, Dale!

@comichero – I refer you to the wise words of Randy Newman.
Pain is not dense. He’s complicated. (snicker)

Just wanted to stop by and say I like your work. The artwork is what caught my eye, very well done. I’ll have to go through the archives and catch up on the story. Keep up the good work.
