The Most Horriblest Thing #13

OK, you might think there is no way anyone would fall for this again, but there is something of a tidal quality about the crowds at San Diego Comic Con.  There are literally places and times when you could lift your feet off the ground and have the crowd just carry you along.  And in all that crush and swell, almost everyone is smiling.

I wonder if anybody’s actually thrown out false panel information like this and successfully caused a stampede before. If only I had the money, willpower, and no fear of crowds to try it myself…

  2. Zarvain

I understand a friend of mine likes to TRY and start such stampedes, but as far as I know as never had this level of success. Probably just as well he’s never met Al, I’d hate to think what he would do if he was ever given pointers by this guy…

Loving the reference to “A New Hope” by the way. *grin*

TK 421? Seriously? As if the denizens of SDCC wouldn’t catch such an obvious reference to Star Wars.
    Please.
SDCC had a friggin’ droid hunt. They’d see through that smokescreen.

@ DCRyan: For those caught up in the momentum, the obvious is the last thing considered.

8D I wanna go to a con and be swept up!!

  7. DCRyan

@ Baughbe: Normally, I would agree, but SDCC is a whole different variety of momentum in my limited experience. I was only at SDCC once, but the tidal surges were generally built around actual occurrences.
