The Way Out #4

OOOW!  A little social commentary creeps in.

And what’s this?  A NEW bonus comic?  Why yes, yes it is.

Yeah, ’cause social commentary is TOTALLY something you guys shy away from, normally. =P

… but how the hell did a lady who wears a noose get a job for a suicide hotline, you’d think that’s the sort of thing that would come up in teh interview.

  2. Elfguy

I’m betting she FOUNDED the suicide hotline, and just works there occasionally to keep her hand in.

  3. jjmblue7

@Marvelous TK, I’m pretty sure most people would see her as a normal, young woman, and see the noose as a necklace or something.

  4. argentlupus

She’s kinda cute in a end of the world kinda way.

    Addendum…

If you all have watched Avatar: The Last Airbender, I read Ixtab’s part in Ty Lee’s voice.

  6. Dena

Marvelous, because that’s the way we, the readers, see the characters.

Normal people in the comic see them as human. Kind of like how Pain, Tears and Alisdair walk around without people freaking out over demons. And remember the Reverend? It was pointed out that he can see the trio in their real shape.

  7. Moku

People were drooling over Sunrise-Peach Blossom-Bath Fart but I find Ixtab to be much cuter. <3

Hey, they said it was a suicide “help” line. Maybe in this case, “help” was less about “prevention” and more about “how to”…

(Weird coincidence: I’ve just been reading a book about demons who drive people to suicide so they can feed on the suicide’s unused life span to extend their own lives. This sounds a a little like one of their scams.)

I’m with Moku on this. Sunrise-Peach-Blossom-Bath-Fart was kind of meant to be sexy, but I found her just meh. Ixtab is adorable though, I just want to hug her.
