Factory Recall #8

Well that wasn’t quite the way we expected to see Limbo…. I’m starting to wonder if that whole Dante’s Divine Comedy might have lost something in the translation.

That said, this version of Limbo seems a whole lot more horrible than the other version, to me.

i think ANY form of the limbo is horrible…from the alleged dance to waiting in perpetuity…. O.o!!!!

Ah, but hell changes with the times. I remember reading a transcript in the traveller’s guide to hell (a great read), written by some reverent or other about the circles of hell now, as compared to how Dante described them.
Appearently the demon from Good Omes was wrong, we still have something to fear from hell, because they appearently do have imagination and probably electricity as well…

Forget Dante; read Niven and Pournelle’s ‘Inferno’ instead. They bring it up to date.

Welcome to a kinder, gentler hell where we’ve found it’s far more torturous to make you do things you don’t want to or can’t possibly do. Irritation and misery cause more pain in the long run, enjoy!

Of course, if you want to hear discourse from Old Nick, I’d recommend the BBC comedy series “Old Harry’s Game” for what we’ll probably find down there. He’s found humans to be more inventive at creating their own Hell on Earth than anything he’d ever invented.

Forced fun and participation? Sure sounds like my definition of aitch-ee-double-hockey-sticks…
